First off, I apologize to everyone for yet another topic on logos. I realize a lot of the discussion at this point just involves trivial differences between extremely similar logos.
I thought it might be a good idea to make one last post where we upload our preferred logos and have a formal vote to choose between them. This could happen over the next couple of weeks if need be since we are already printing stickers and cards with logos that are very similar to what we are likely to approve.
I will consider the above logo my final suggestion. I would encourage everyone to either submit a logo design to this post or, alternately, suggest changes and I would be happy to modify my design and create more potential choices. Once this is done we could have a vote and be done with the logo for the time being.
Thanks,
Mitch

The MN part looks less cramped, but the rest is still too cramped for my liking. The "L" and the "G" are too close to the Minnesota graphic, and therefore still cramped. Also, having the blue on the red may cause problems in some instances in that it will be hard to see the "MN" text. Same case with many of the other possibilities, such as the one i temporarily put in the header of the website. This one, I think is better: http://gilby.com/mnlg4.jpg
personally, I like the one that's on the website and the mnlg4. But if I'd have to choose one, I'd choose the one on the top of the website.

The smaller mn and slightly greater spacing on mnlg4 look good to me, I'd be fine with that. I'm still a little partial to the blue mn letters though since it simplifies the logo. If we use it on a white background I like the white letters but if the logo was used with a transparent background (the way it is on the website right now) I think it makes the MN stand out too much.
I still like some of the ones with mnlg inside the state as well but they seem to have gotten shot down in the previous post as being too unclear.
