April Meeting Minutes

The April meeting of MNLG was called to order on April 8th at 7:07pm by Chair Rick Karschnia.

There were 18 members and 2 guests present

Chair - reports of what everyone has been doing in their BPOUs lately, over the course of the past month.
Vice Chairs- no report
Treasurer's report was approved as read.
Secretary's report was approved as read.

Events Committee Report:
Motion was made, seconded to spend $350 for water bottles/supplies for the Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th. Motion was then amended to spend up to $350 for supplies for the Tea Party.
Motion, as amended, was approved.

Discussion was had of the events/volunteer opportunities that are coming up in the next month.

Bylaws Committee:
Motion was made and seconded to add new missions and committees to Article 5 of the MNLG bylaws.

During discussion of the motion, an amendment was made to the Public Relations Sub Committee of Section IV: Communications Committee to state: "...subject to approval of the full body of MNLG by a simply majority." The amendment was seconded and approved.

During discussion of the motion an amendment was made to the Information Sub Committee of Section VI: Elections Committee to strike "as well as"and replace it with "and will also be." The amendment was seconded and approved.

A motion was made, seconded, and approved to include the new missions as amended to the current bylaws.

A motion was made, seconded, and approved to table the vote regarding additional bylaws changes.

There are also two candidates running for candidates running for St. Paul School Board
Motion was made, seconded, and passed to budget $100 to pay for a booth at the Tax Cut Rally on May 2nd.

Motion was made, seconded, and approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:37pm.
