Important Message to Legislators Regarding the Saint Paul Tea Party

Hello, I’m Rick Karschnia with Minnesotans for Limited Government. We are a grassroots organization formed by neighbors and friends to promote limited government and personal liberty. I have a very important message for our representatives at the local, state, and federal levels of government for the great state of Minnesota.

On April 15th thousands of Minnesotans came together all across our fine state for peaceful protests referred to as Tea Parties. These events were organized at the grass roots level to protest government’s reckless spending of our hard earned dollars that are taken from us through taxation.

I was proud to stand with the thousands of families, neighbors, and friends at the state capitol in Saint Paul Minnesota. The grounds at the capitol were covered by responsible individuals that saw it important enough to find time for this protest somewhere between the time their work day ended and they put their children to bed for the night. I can account for the respectful way in which we came together to stand for what we believe in. There was no violence, no broken windows, and I didn’t even see any litter as we left the capitol grounds.

In a free country, it is not only our right to speak against a government encroaching on our lives, it is our solemn responsibility to do so. And the people in Saint Paul did it with class.

At the Saint Paul Tea Party several brave individuals volunteered at a second’s notice to give us their open and honest opinions about taxation and the perceived value of the services they receive from government.

Please take the proper time to consider the sample of comments that follow. I think you will agree that the randomly chosen individuals we spoke with were peaceful, reasonable, and knowledgeable. www.youtube.com/user/mnlgorg

As I do, I am sure that you will pay these individuals and their opinions great respect as they are all freedom loving Americans, fellow Minnesotans, and our neighbors.

In Liberty,

Rick Karschnia - Chairman
Minnesotans for Limited Government
